SWEATOR TORSO
Climate and sleep system or clothing
The SWEATOR TORSO was developed specifically for use in beds and reclining systems. It includes two separately controllable heat and moisture sources for the ventral and dorsal areas. Anatomically shaped and flat contours as well as adapted weight distributions ensure realistic test scenarios for mattresses, duvets, covers, and all types of sleeping surfaces. The torso can also be used on one side only (ventral or dorsal). In combination with SWEATLOG SleepView and SWEATLOG BodyView, a complete sleep system can be climatically measured and categorized.
The SWEATOR TORSO in the stand-up version can be used to measure the climate properties of ready-made outerwear.

Versions:
SWEATOR TORSO: Simulation of thermoregulation by releasing simulated body heat and humidity. For sleeping surfaces (lying version) and outerwear (standing version).
Data acquisition:
T (°C), RH (%), AH (g/kg), HI (°C) = “perceived” T, time, as well as thermodynamic parameters under the given standard conditions.
Data storage and analysis
Data on SD card (TXT).
We provide customized evaluation tables based on MS Excel.
Data visualization:
SWEATOR can operate independently of sensor solutions and simply serve as a reproducible source of heat and humidity. In combination with a SWEATLOG SleepView sensor grid, the microclimate between the TORSO and the sleeping surface can be visualized. Any other sensor and visualization solution is conceivable.
T/RH recording:
As standard, every SWEATOR solution has 8 slots for sensors to record T/RH values. This can be expanded to up to 16 (8 × dual sensor per slot). Additional sensors or sensor grids available on request (e.g., SWEATLOG SleepView or BodyView).
