SWEATOR-FOOT
Climate and comfort in footwear. The SWEATOR-FOOT has been successfully in use for years for the analysis and optimization of moisture accumulation in footwear. A rigid hollow foot body allows the simulator to be inserted directly into finished footwear, where it introduces reproducible heat and humidity in the form of water vapor. The measurement maps the microclimate within the shoe and allows for comparisons between materials.
Key data
Shapes:
SWEATOR-FOOT: Foot, standardized, size EU 42, removable toe section
Data acquisition:
T (°C), RH (%), AH (g/kg), HI (°C) = “perceived” T, time, as well as thermodynamic indicators according to the given standard conditions.
Data storage and analysis
Data on SD card (TXT).
We offer customized evaluation tables based on Excel.
T/RH recording:
4 sensors for T/RH recording are included and are distributed around the FOOT inside the footwear; if necessary, fixed by socks or tape, this enables the reproducible recording of the shoe climate.
Applications
- Climate simulation in finished footwear.
- Comparison of the climate properties of different footwear systems.
- Derivation of the effects of material-related climate comfort properties.
